Individuals and Their Families
The benefits to health and wellbeing of time spent outdoors and increased engagement in physical activity are well documented. Access to these is often limited for families with one or more members with a disability. Our programmes provide both an immediate benefit through the activities but also aims to support and empower the families to continue their journey into being more active and spending more time outdoors.
EA programs provide scope for transformational change for families so that they can gain confidence and communicate more effectively. The programme is designed to help participants change the way that they think, and rise above the day-to-day thinking to build or rebuild active lifestyles in a sustainable, restorative and inclusive manner.
We deliver a range of programmes that enable disabled people with complex needs and their families to undertake a wide range of activities in a family and community setting through:
- Delivering a range of accessible activities to all the family members
- Create safe supported spaces with families to develop their family cohesion and understanding
- Support families to create strategies and tools for independent activity and sustain long term change.
Our programs include:
- Yes we can
- Self Directed Support
- Family Days
- Funded programs.
